Love and a Book

There was once a boy who knew how to love. With compassion and joy unbound, in oceans he dealt his love to all. To his parents, siblings, friends and to his teacher above all.

Wave upon wave it soothed their souls, and spread joyously from the land he was born in, to the farthest shores across the seas.

Many years passed, and in their passing they found he had enveloped the world in a delicate sheath of love.

Then one day, in peace and joy he passed away. A drop returned to the ocean it splashed up from. A drop that before dissolving coursed its ecstatic story on a page.

***

Many decades later, another boy, unsure of his love, gifted those pages to someone. And gently, a dream was stirred. A dream dreamt many years ago in ignorance. A dream that haunted and stayed and singed both sides of a brain. Until a pair of eyes hungrily devoured a gift of uncertain love, and discovered an immeasurable truth deeper that conscious thought.

Ironic that that which he mistrusts the most should convey depth that his eyes couldn’t.

Words.

In an autobiography of Love.

This is fantastic, H!

Give me a couple of days to digest it then I'll give a proper comment.

Doesn't mean this one's improper. =)

I just wish some eyes could perceive what's right there in fucking front of them.

Don't mind me. I get all angsty when I read your posts (which I've missed all too much!!!!!)

Awesome. What else can I say?

Except for - is it actually an immeasurable truth deeper that conscious thought? :|

Dear HB, :-) waiting. waiting...

Liz darling, you're very very special. you know, don't you?

AC: dreams are. As is unbound love. I think.

words and words are all i have to take your heart away...
funny some words we believe others we cant but they are all that we base our trust on...

P, that's true. Someone once said that one should base ones judgement on actions, not words. But even actions seem to belie intentions. often.

ha.

And intentions are based upon perception, which is often faulty. Unidimensional, at any rate.

sigh.

does it ever end?

The rock music playing from the next room added an interesting soundtrack, but it was still very touching :)

I dont know if anything ends...
actions are put inn perspective through words and conversations...
imagery is directly proportion to what you tell your mind to percieve...
its bizzare but we always are ready to believe the worst quite immediatly...

----
and where are we to complain when its regarding your negligence???

H! (I love it when I use that exclamation point.)

I've got nothing to say but that you made my day and that your words have prompted an air of romance to stray into my murky room while I read and write and love the here and now.

So thank you.

H said...

Ben, love triumphs again. [I did not just say that. :-P ]

You’re spot on there, Pricky, about us being ready to believe the worst quite easily. But tell me, what negligence are you speaking of? [meekly, I ask]

Migs, Am beaming at this happy thought. Thank you too. Profoundly.

Sh'shank said...

ill let you have three guesses...
as the negligence has happened on three accounts and grows by the day...

:-|

P. there, I've corrected my folly. And you are partly to be blamed for it... you don't write enough. But I'm glad you pulled my ears. I really really liked it. In a very heart-warmed, seriously glad way. thank you.

I'm not even gonna pretend that I understood this post...

BUT, just thought I'd drop by to say "Namaste!"...

I'd love to know what you get up to when you're on hiatus...

Sh'shank said...

yes you did take care of one negligence
but BUT
there are still two accounts where you havent corrected your negligence...
but sunce i think u r cool
ill give u a hint
three minute wonder is oneQQQQ

I strongly feel that there has to something bigger than love. Something more substantial, more meaningful.

M: Salamat! [correct me if I've got it wrong]. I prey on people's brains when I'm on hiatus. or I go into a coma to allow mine to battle it out within. depends on my mood really. sometimes it's fun nibbling on a brain pate, while wiggling my toes [I did read somewhere you can massage your brain like that].

Pricky: sorry, the three minute wonder thing will have to wait for a bit. Ihaven't been allowed to post it on youtube... some broadcast issue. And I haven't had the time to figure how to compress it so I can email it [if it's possible].

AC: I guess that's something you're going to have to discover for yourself :-) and perhaps you will share what you find?

Sh'shank said...

umm depends on what you edited on.
Most softwares will let you export the edit footage as MPEG 4 when you export it as a film...

H,
You shook us up!
Thankyou for the wake up call.
We made our own coffee. :)

Anonymous said...

I think I may have already found it...

I didn't expect anything less sinister (brain pate nibbling whilst wiggling toes) from you...

You've yet to disappoint me..

On the brain note, lemme share classic Pinoy humour with you (it's tooth achingly corny, but that's the way I like it...)

PS My translation sucks, but I'll give it a go best I can...

Dumb: If you get to pick, who's brain would you most want to have?

Dumber: Yours!

Dumb: (feeling smug) Really? Why?

Dumber: Cos it's as good as new! Hardly ever used! Mwahahahahahaah!!

I know, I'm getting my dosage upped!

Pricky: as they say in these parts “I’m working on it boss”

FC: And about time you did! :-)

AC: hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sounds promising…

Brainy Pinoy: Hahahahahaaaaa. But I know I’m going to get a very very spicy brain pate outa you. gurgle. Oh and that’s a tough one you asked on Liz’. I kinda like the idea of roasting it out with a very very spiked coffeeeeee. Nah. You’re right. I think I’ll be your coffee server girl in Hell [in my very scandalous red pumps].

Absolutely beautiful.
Is this perchance dedicated to someone?

H said...

Thank you Prude :-) Yes. not dedicated to. but for. [did this make sense?]
